Private excursion — Giverny and Monet's gardens

Just over an hour from Paris, Giverny is home to Claude Monet's green-shuttered house and the gardens that inspired the Water Lilies. We drive you there at your own pace, away from the tour coaches — a suspended day of colour and reflections on water.

The Giverny experience

The gardens that gave Impressionism its light

Claude Monet's house

The painter's home, with its green shutters and studio, preserved in the spirit that once animated it. Many of our clients enjoy lingering there in the morning, when the light is at its softest.

The Clos Normand and the water garden

Flower-lined paths, the water-lily pond and the Japanese bridge: the motif behind an entire body of work, to be explored without haste.

Beyond the gardens

The Musée des impressionnismes just a few steps away, or lunch in a Normandy village: tell us what appeals to you, and we will shape the day with you.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

What is the best season to visit Giverny?

The gardens are open from late March to 1 November. Spring brings the first blooms; summer brings the water lilies in full splendour. Each period has its own charm, and we will be pleased to guide you according to your wishes.

How much time should be allowed for the excursion?

A half-day is enough for the gardens and the house. Many clients prefer a full day, adding the Musée des impressionnismes and lunch on site.

Should entrance tickets be booked in advance?

In high season, it is often more comfortable to have them arranged in advance. We can indicate the best way to proceed, and your chauffeur adjusts the schedule to help you avoid the busiest times.

Can Giverny be combined with another stop?

Of course — a stop in Vernon, an extended day towards Normandy, or a return by a different route. Share your wishes with us and we will draw the itinerary around them.
